Last year the Youth Group had great success
with their Operation Care Package service project.
Through your generous donations we were able to
send care packages all throughout the year to
Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our total sent
was 80 and thank you letters from some of the
Soldiers were printed in the bulletin. Therefore we
have decided to do the care packages for a second
year, it will run from February 19th ~ April 15th.
With a box being located in the Parish Hall for you
to leave items in. If you are able please bring in
some of the following items that are listed below so
we can show the troops a little bit of home they
might be -missing along with our thanks for all
they do. If you have any questions please see
Carrie Pearson.

every three years is scheduled for July 1-5, 2013, in
San Antonio Texas. We have several youth
contemplating attending. If you are a confirmed
high school youth and would like more information,
please contact Pastor Wahl or Ed Hoecksema. More
information is available at
www.lcmsgathering.com. It would be great to have
a group attending from St. Paul

A big thank you to all of you that donated to help support the troops. Youth Group collected enough items to make 20 care packages and had two boxes of items left over to ship to the warehouse in Texas for the wounded soldiers. We had a challenge to see who could collect the most items for the troops with Danielle Zander winning by collecting 88 items from her school and coming in a close second was Domi Sella collecting 68 items. Great job to everyone!!!

Operation Care Packages
If you have ever wanted to help the troops but weren't quite sure how then the Youth Group has the perfect service project! Below you will find a list of items that are being collected for the troops from February 27th - April 17th. They will then be making care packages for the military members in our church and send the remaining items to Texas to help Soldiers Angels. It is a group that does several things with the military including stocking warehouses in the US to continually send care packages. Drop off your items in the box right in the parish hall. And thank you in advance! If you have any questions feel free to contact Carrie Pearson 973-879-1608
